Now in the vineyard, the time of the singing of birds was come, the time when the Vine with its tender grapes gives a good smell, the time when the flowers appear on the earth again.

Said the Robin,
"Sing I must; he made me thus.
         Cheerily, for He loves me."
And his song frolicked the fluffy clouds.

Tovina gathered up the fullness of that sound and added it to her own bursting exuberance, for on theat very day she had watched the tender care of the Husbandman for his beloved Vine.

She had also watched a tiny acorn sprout with new life. Now everyone in the vineyard knew that the acorn sprout would one day be a great oak tree, and the Husbandman had told her this was like his promises. If she would but receive and cherish his promise, she would therein have the gift, for, said he,
         "Within the tiny acorn
         Is the great oak tree."

For Tovina, her phrase, "TO THE VINE," proved its worth in joy, releasing the bands of praise. That praise ascended, muffled none by the raindrops beginning to splatter.
