Get Sure of Your Purpose and Destiny, How? Week 3

Faith Statement: I can be sure today of my destiny and purpose.

 

Rely on the Promise of God

 

1. Eternal life is a gift, Romans 6:23

2. A right and privilege given, John 1:12

3. Given out of love from the Giver, 1 John 3:1-2

4. Written about so you can know for sure, 1 John 5:13

5. Your sin was put on Someone Else, Isaiah 53:6

6. Summed up in John 3:16

 

Rely on the Presence of Jesus

 

1. No condemnation in Jesus’ presence, Romans 8:1

2. He’s knocking at your door, Revelation 3:20

3. To be with you always, Matthew 28:20

4. He is sure of His ability to save you, John 10:27-28

5. Eternal life resides in knowing Jesus, John 17:3

6. He was cut off from God so you don’t have to be, Mark 15:34

 

Rely on the Promptings of the Holy Spirit

 

1. Helps you know you’re adopted, Romans 8:15-16

2. Grows new character in you, Galatians 5:22-23

3. Continues to convict you of sin, John 16:8-9

4. Because conviction of sin is the only way you’ll continue to rely on Jesus, Mark 2:17

Bible Study Suggestion: John 9:1-41, the story of Jesus healing the "Man Born Blind."

 

1. In what ways would being born blind be worse or not as bad as losing one's sight?

2. In waht ways did the blind man rely and depend on the word of Jesus?

3. Of what was he sure? Of what was he not sure? Did that change through the story?

4. What did he do first once he believed on the Jesus as the Son of God?

5. What does this passage say to you about knowing Jesus?
