Romans 5:20: It's Time for Miracles
Written by Wilma Zalabak, M.Div.

Paul wrote something like, "Wherever sin abounds, there grace much more abounds" (see Romans 5:20).

That's why I believe it is time for miracles from God. We have no shortage of mean and hurtful events that are so technologically advanced that they seem almost magic. I believe that wherever meanness and evil abound, that's where God's miracles much more abound. Whenever meanness advances, it is time for God to work.

So I want to share with you here for a few days some tips to help you and me get our prayers and praises more active. These tips will not be prescriptions to get you miracles. I'm not sure I believe in the "abundance" teaching that says if I just make myself believe, the "universe" will provide me with financial and other kinds of present abundance. On the other hand, perhaps my tips will be something to spark you to another level of earnestness in your determination to be with God the Source to meet your every need.

Try one or two each day and listen to God as you do. Remember God is with you all the time, not merely when you formally "pray." Your every thought can be of God or at least filtered through your ongoing conversation with God.

Oh, yes, that is what I want and pray for, a constancy in my focus on God as my Source of everything.

*Pray inside your head.
*Pray aloud.
*Write your prayer.
*Pray alone.
*Pray with someone.
*Pray first each day.
*Pray last each day.
