Be blessed by that Book Blazing bright but not burned. Bring the Book to your nook, Bring forth brilliant bloom.
Immerse all your mind In the mighty Divine. Intelligence rides In its lines and its rhymes
Be bold with the Book, Best hobby since birth, But be humble, don’t boast Because bubbles can burst.
Look! Listen to love, Lover’s lines leaving light Like a lily or lotus Lying lush with delight.
Excite your emotions, Ever press on in quest. Enter heaven’s elations, Enter the Book and be blessed.
Well, yes, I had fun with this poem, trying to do several things that would give me the feeling that I might get from Psalm 119 if Hebrew were my native language. So I made a poem whose theme is the Bible and whose structure is acrostic like the original Psalm 119.
