A friend got me to thinking about the Ten Commandments as statements of ultimate reality, affirming that God already has such a kingdom.

In that kingdom, in the universe, there is:

1. Only one God, and

2. Only the highest sense of reality in knowing Him.

3. Reverence and effective communication.

4. The Sabbath.

5. Honor for those who went before.

6. Life.

7. Family.

8. Ownership and chioice.

9. Truth and honesty.

10. Unblighted contentment.

In the midst of this ultimate reality, then, there are illusions and temporary situations that are contrary to the reality. These would include dysfunctional families, war and abortion, affairs and divorce, manipulation and deceit, greed and huge ambition.

Let us move toward reality!
